Imagine a life where you feel energized throughout the day. It's easy to go to bed in the morning. Meal time is always enjoyable. You feel great after a meal, not sloggish and bleh. Best part about it, for a girl like me, is the absence of mood swings.
It's called veganism. I wouldn't even call it veganism, because people have a negative association with vegans. They think they're some hardcore malnourished hippies trying to save the animals. They think vegans are super strict with their diet. Most are. I'm a loose definition of a vegan.
I eat raw, healthy foods because it makes me feel great consistently.
People see, but it doesn't fully register, that food is the fuel that works your body. Healthy foods allow for clearer thinking and realizations and translates into meaningful actions that ultimately affect your life.
It sounds like a far stretch to those who don't eat clean foods, but for those health nuts out there, you know what I'm talking about.
So, my diet consists of various types of beans, nuts, fruit, lots of veggies, quinoa, and green tea, sometimes with honey. About once a week I eat fish.
I'm not doing this to save the animals, although it is a plus. I do it because it's my health and it's worth it.
