I've made 12 videos: 9 vlogs, 1 contest, 1 music video, and 1 how-to.
I just wrote all my friends who write and asking for ideas, because I'm making a short film.
It's certainly a different media of video. A lot more thought goes into a short film, and not to mention minds. Everyone I have filmed has been completely unscripted so I'm excited to see how this goes.
Earlier today I watched a good hours worth of Adobe After Effects tutorials and I'm excited to use it in my future videos. I can REALLY get creative with After Effects.
I tried to use Adobe Premier for editing on my last vlog but I was in a time crunch and wasn't too fluent in it. Hopefully, next time.
Finally ordered a tripod and a bigger sd card, I was using 8 gigs before (I knowwwwwww, right). Both of those are really needed. I want a new lens but I don't have the money for that right now. Tutoring only pays for my gas money but I'm hoping one day I'll win a contest and then I can buy better lens :)
I also bought the new ipod touch 5.
I do not have a smart phone. Yeah, I want one, but I'm broke and I'm still under my moms plan and I can't afford buying a smart phone AND paying for the data plan.
However, we're breaking away from tmobile in a year. I couldn't wait, so I bout myself the ipod touch 5. I'm really excited about it. I can finally have instagram and music and other apps and I can become socially blind/rude like the rest of you haha.
I'm hoping I can own this social media thing so I can branch out to more viewers and people to collaborate with.
So, 3 months later and things have changed a lot.
Advice to all of those who want to get into film, just start filming.

You're so cute!
ReplyDeleteI met therealjustinflynn on one of my very few trips through AirTime and since then we've become Instagram buddies - which is how I stumbled upon your vlog and blog. My favorite video is the Law of Attraction (I'm a firm believer - Have you read The Alchemist?)
I've actually just started a 3 month vlog series on my travels. I'm just using my iPhone and iMovie... we'll see how that goes.
You're doing an awesome job and just wanted to send out some e-love :) I know how awesome it is to get feedback.

Aw thank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you like that one because I always thought it was really awkward and I almost took it down until a third grader told me it was her favorite and helped her out. :)
THE ALCHEMIST IS MY FAVORITE BOOK!
I like your first vlog. You should definitely make more. Coming from experience, you'll regret not making more haha.
p.s. surfing is really hard
p.s.s that hong kong story is awesome.
